I cheated.

This liquid diet is SO hard. SUUUUCKKKSSSSSsss. I'm so over it right now, all I want is something to chew on. I cheated and ate some cheese tonight, not a lot though and it was skim mozzarella. Still though, it's cheating. I am so hungry/grouchy it's a wonder Marie or Craig could even stand my company this week and poor Craig is going to be over here from tomorrow through past my surgery sometime and wants to go on an overnight trip somewhere. Saint. Living on 800 calories a day is crappy.

End rant. Sorry guys! It's not all pretty.

Craig wants to take some "before" pictures sometime this week and I will post them when I get some but for now here's some funny ones of Craig and I and some other randomness from the week.

Would gum help?

i stopped chewing for lent this year... im not sure if there are extremely specific things that you can have, or if you can mix it up a little... but i would mix the protien shake powder with fresh strawberries or bananas and it was a lot better.
i also drank A LOT of soup at hand.

Corby: Gum creates gastric juices, so...during this phase of pre-surgical dieting...no :( No Gum.

Christina: I can only have what's on the diet plan and certain fruits only. Strawberries are not on the plan because even blenderized, the seeds are too hard to digest after surgery. Bananas are though! I made a yummy chocolate one with bananas today which was super yummy!

I've got some kick ass smoothie recipes I can give you!

Okies! :) Thanks Corby!

I have vanilla and chocolate protein powders. Craig just came home with a HUGE bucket of the expensive yummy chocolate powder that's got a nice consistency.

800 calories a day isn't enough for any adult. Is the point to lose weight before surgery? Doing nothing more than rest, the average woman (who is shorter than you, by the way)burns 1200 to 1600 calories. Just. Sitting. Around. SO ... 800 seems wrong to me!

Hey Michelle. :) The 800 calorie diet is part of a plan to shrink some of my organs prior to surgery and to drop as much weight as possible around my belly to make more room in my abdomen since the surgery is being done laporoscopically. They can maneuver the instruments around a lot better and inflate your tummy better when there's more room. I should drop about 25 lbs from the time I started the diet to the day of surgery.

I forgot to add that they want my liver to shrink by at least 1/2 because they have to lift up the liver and work underneath it during surgery.
